AERO-120 Flight Dispatcher Ground School
What is a Flight Dispatcher?
Performing one of aviations most important roles, the aircraft Flight Dispatcher share with the Pilots the ultimate responsibility for flight safety. The Flight Dispatcher is responsible for aircrew weather briefing, flight planning and flight safety in regards to aircraft performance and weight limitations.

The Flight Dispatcher Ground School prepares the learner for the Transport Canada written exams which is a prerequisite for employment as a flight dispatcher for charter and major airlines. The learner must pass both TC exams; Flight Operations and Meteorology. Once employed by an air operator the candidate must complete the operators on-the-job training and then a TC certificate is issued.
This course is offered in partnership and taught by BDA Flight Training Ltd
Special Notes:
Upon successful completion you will receive:
- An Industry Canada Aeronautical Radio Operators Licence (upon successful completion of Industry Canada written exam)
- A SAIT issued Certificate of Completion for Flight Dispatcher Ground School.
Admission Requirements:
- Anyone interested in becoming or working as a Flight Dispatcher in a commercial air service.
